Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 or Dhaakad: Who Will Win At The Box- Office?

Every week a new set of movies are released in the theatres. Some are rejected while others are sprinting to break records. Last week's releases were hit and miss. But week 20 of 2022 promises some variety. Here are 2 movies releasing in theatres this week.

1. Bhool bhulaiyaa 2 

Ever since the announcement of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Fans of the previous installment are constantly comparing the two movies on the internet. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a spiritual sequel to the much-adored 2007 Priyadarshan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The sequel of Bhool Bhulaiya was always going to create buzz. The first installment starring Akshay Kumar, Ameesha Patel, Vidya Balan, and Paresh Rawal is still adored by the fans. Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) upon its release became an instant hit, It was one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of 2007.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a spiritual sequel and won't follow the narrative of the previous one. The plot will follow Rooh baba (Kartik Aaryan) visiting the Thakur manor which is apparently haunted by the Manjulika. Rooh baba whose real name is Ruhan is a fraudster who gets trapped in the lies and terrors of this manor. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a horror-comedy and will follow its successor's theme of presenting spooky tales through wit and humor.

This movie is bound to be seen with high expectations. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 stars Kartik Aaryan; Kiara Advani and Tabu in pivotal roles. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is directed by Anees Bazmee. It will be under the banner of T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will premiere in theatres on 20 May, 2022. 

2. Dhaakad.

A thriller adventure Directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai is as spellbinding as it sounds. Dhaakad stars Kangana Ranaut, Arjun Rampal, and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles alongside Saswata Chatterjee and Sharib Hashmi. Dhaakad will follow the story of Agni, a highly equipped and lethal field representative, who is assigned with an undertaking to assemble intel and eradicate Rudraveer, an arms trafficker who is laying low for a decade. It is upon this agent to find him and put a stop to the mishap. All the while receiving no clues whatsoever. 

The cast underwent training for 3 months to execute the action sequences smoothly. A lot of research has gone through to bring this project on screen. Dhaakad's Soundtrack is by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy while the lyrics are penned by Ishitta Arun and Amitabh Bhattachary. Dhruv Ghanekar too has composed music for this film.

A thriller action flick with a strong cast and a gripping story sounds right for a weekend movie date with friends or family.

Bhool bhulaiyaa 2 and Dhaakad are set to clash at the Box office. Recently during press interactions, Kangana Ranaut revealed her thoughts on her movie clashing with Kartik - Kiara's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. She said, "As far as Kartik is concerned, I like his work very much. I feel he is a person belonging to the current generation, who is standing on his own. He is doing his work, to his own caliber. He has come up on his own and I have a huge appreciation for him."

Kiara Advani also opened up about this clash. She said "I think we are at a time in our industry, where for two years we didn't have film release (in theatres) so unanimously as an industry I feel the stakes are so high because there is so much at risk in making a film. Financially, commercially and keeping all of that in mind; then I think personally and I am sure even for the industry we want all films to work right now because we want to revive that. We all are here because we all are cinema lovers. So I would wish for each film to be loved and accepted, and received well for all the hard work. It's so many (people) and not just actors."

Both the actors in the film concerned have nothing but good wishes for each other, we hope the movies do well at the box office. Dhaakad and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have their own set of audiences and should bring in good reception!
